Timothy Shaffer was born in Austin, Minnesota. He attended the University of Wisconsin
at Superior where he obtained a bachelor’s degree with a focus on legal studies.
Timothy also competed in collegiate golf and was selected to the 2016 All
Sportsmanship Team. Timothy attended law school at Mitchell Hamline School of Law in
St. Paul, MN. While attending law school Timothy interned with the Department of
Homeland Security where he gained invaluable trial experience. Timothy graduated law
school and passed the Minnesota State Bar Exam in 2020. Timothy clerked for the
Honorable Judge Kevin Siefken in Mower County until he moved to Kalispell in October
of 2021 where he focused on domestic litigation. Timothy joined Moore Cockrell
Goicoechea & Johnson, P.C. in October of 2024. Timothy will be focused on practicing
in a variety of civil litigation disputes including personal injury and insurance defense.
